For most students, it is a thrilling rush to wake up on game days. For cheerleaders, it is one of the most important days of the week.

Freshman Eylen Molina wakes up at 4:30 a.m. every home or away game. She starts her normal routine by doing her hair, putting on makeup and then her cheerleading outfit.

“Every game day I wake up as early as I can in the morning and get ready so that I can make sure I have everything I need for the day. I want to look my very best at each and every game,” Molina said.

On top of the early mornings, Molina has to make sure she keeps up with grades, homework and after school practice.

“For the ordinary person it might seem easy, but it is extremely hard to juggle all these thing” Molina said.

Despite the hard work and everything that comes with it, Molina still feels the urge to keep on cheering.

“Although it might be hard work, I think it is for the love of the sport that I keep on cheering” Molina said. “I really enjoy it and can’t imagine not being on the team.”
