Grand Prairie Police Explorers Place 3rd Overall at A.W. Grimes Memorial Police Explorer Competitio

More than 50 Police Explorer teams from across Texas competed in 38 investigative and tactical scenarios at the 2018 A.W. Grimes Memorial Police Explorer Competition.
Seniors Samantha Lopez and Angelica Estrada Acevedo, sophomore Landon Williamson and junior James Hughson competed in the Grand Prairie Police Explorer’s Post #342 and placed in the following events:
3rd Place Overall
1st Place – Burglary in Progress
2nd Place – Domestic Disturbance
3rd Place – Gang Activity
“It was a great experience getting to compete,” Langston said. “It allowed us to work on our skills so that we can better serve the community as police officers in the future.”
Police explorers are between 14 and 21 years old, and are typically students who have an interest in law enforcement.
