Apex: Battle Royale Story

To start the year off right, game publisher Electronic Acts decided to release Apex Legends, a free-to-play game released on every current platform. Just like every other popular free-to-play, this was a battle royale game. The objective is to eliminate anyone and everyone you can until you are the last surviving team.

Given that there are several other battle royale games out in the market with the exact same concept, it’s hard to imagine this game lasting. “There's tons of other Royale games out there,” Jesus Rivera said.

When Apex first came out, the game popped off as many high end streamers started playing and spreading the word of the game to the millions of views that they attract. However, not many believe that the game can replace Fortnite, one of the world’s most popular games.

“It’s already falling off as we speak,” senior Jesus Rivera said.

He's not wrong. For the first month or two, Apex was trampling the competition to the point where Fortnite was losing thousands, maybe even millions of gamers playing their game each day.

“I probably played it for a week and then I gave up on it, it's not the same” senior Misael Mundo said.

No matter what happens, Apex is here to stay and will now forever be a top competitor to Fortnite. We know they see Apex as a treat. As we speak, Fortnite is giving tons of in-game items in order to attract their fan base back to their game.
