Gopher Snapchat Arrives on Campus

You can now post your Snapchat stories on the new “Gopher Territory” Snapchat. The account was created by Juinor Yakhame Mays, a junior at Grand Prairie High School.

"The reason I made the Gopher snap is so that our fellow students can interact with each other and to have fun with it by showing student spirit,” Mays said.

The process of creating the Snapchat was easy.

“I was viewing my friends and coworkers stories one day after I came home from work and realized I should create one for the school,” Mays said. “It is nice because they are all in one place.”

Students like the new snapchat.

“It’s a fun way view the school, it’s an easier way to get the word around, talk about school events and times and even what’s going on at school,” junior Cami Garza Bills stated.

Even though everybody likes the “Gopher Territory” Snapchat, Mays has received little credit.

“I get paid nothing,” he joked. “I wish I gotten paid because I need money.”
