Wrestlers Aim to Hit Fundraising Goal

The wrestling team will be holding two fundraisers in October to raise money for expenses like traveling, food and banquet.

“Besides coming to our meets, fans can support the wrestling teams by participating in one of our fundraisers,” girls captain Brianne Meraz said.

The first fundraiser is a Chick-fil-A voucher. For $8, students and faculty can buy a voucher to receive a Chick-Fil-A sandwich, chips and cookie. The voucher can only be redeemed on Wednesday October 25 at the Grand Prairie location on Carrier Parkway. The deadline to order vouchers is Monday, October 23.

“Everyone loves Chick-Fil-A so it is a great opportunity to eat a good meal and give back to the teams,” Kailyn Clay said.

Another way to support the wrestling team is by repping their merchandise. Wrestlers will be taking orders for FanCloth now until October 30. Students and staff can also pay online here.

“Wrestling is one of the most successful athletic programs here, but we don’t have the funds we need to succeed in all the ways we hope,” boys captain Jose Ruiz said. “Please pay up so wrestling can continue to be great!”
