College is an important thing to consider and a life changing choice. Although many people don’t agree with its purpose, others say that attending is the best thing you could do with your life. In fact , most arguments for attending is that it will give you more opportunities, connections and wealth. But which colleges here in Texas give you this and more?
The number one college in Texas is Rice University, a private institution that was founded in 1912. It is located in Houston. Rice University is comprised of eight schools such as : the School of Social Sciences, School of Humanities and Wiess School of Natural Sciences, School of Architecture and the Shepherd School of music. Rice’s students have the opportunity to learn from a distinguished faculty that combines the advantages of a liberal arts college with the resources and facilities of a premier research university. Some of the important engineering and science developments include Rice being the first university in the nation with a department wholly dedicated to space science giving students something others can’t give them.

Although there are many more colleges considered to be the best in Texas statistically, it really depends on the person who is applying. As a high schooler I believe college is overrated but that going can change and better your life, and I hope I can attend one of these schools. It’s true, it can give you more than a high school diploma and you get an experience that you can’t and won’t get anywhere else.
