Music Monday: 5 Seconds of Summer

This year, 5 Seconds of Summer has amazing things coming up like a tour, new album and new appearance.

All of their fans were shocked once 5SOS got back to social media because lately they have been on break working on something new. On February 23, 5SOS released a new single that became the Track of the Week on BBC Radio.

At first, thought the song wasn’t going to be good, but it’s honestly something I would listen to everyday.

The new single “Want You Back” first remind me of Cher Lloyd’s hit single under the same name of the new 5SOS song. The band still hasn’t released a music video to “Want You Back,” but they have teased lot of fans with a peek of their music on the new album. They currently have five albums and the new one will be out in 2018.

It’s exciting to see them making great music. I remember when they use to tour with One Direction and now they are doing their own thing as a successful pop-punk band.

5SOS band member Michael Clifford mentioned that the upcoming album is going to have a “mix of the ‘90s,” with a “bunch of garage gang vocals” that sounds like the Beastie Boys. Recently, they been working with other artists like DJ Steve Aoki and two of the Blink-182 members, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker.

With the new album coming, 5SOS also released new tour dates. Sales started on Friday, March 2 and the first day of the tour begins March 20.
