Mad for March Madness

March Madness has been everything but normal. The crazy game winners, upsets, and more have been happening every game since the tournament started.
“The fact that Loyola even made it to the Final Four is a wild feat itself, but to be honest, I don’t think they can beat Michigan. As much as I love an underdog story, they are not able to beat Michigan,” freshman Chris Romero
On the other side, Villanova and Kansas played each other at San Antonio.
“I think Kansas might win. It’s kind of bias since I like Kansas, but I have a feeling they will come away with the win,” freshman Angel Gonzalez.
The referees are always a go-to excuse for fans to explain why their teams lost.
“The refs are not that bad this year. They missed some calls, but not everyone is perfect,” Romero said.
Some would argue that bad calls were an issue for Syracuse though.
“I like Syracuse so when they got knocked out of the playoffs, I was a little sad,” Gonzalez said. “My bracket didn’t even last for a full day. When that 16th seed beat the 1st seed is when almost everyone lost their perfect bracket.”
Cinderella teams, like Syracuse, aren’t the best, but still end up beating some of the best teams.
“Syracuse, is always the best Cinderella story,” Gonzalez said. “But, I don’t have a favorite team since they got eliminated.”
With so many upsets in March Madness, and it’s best to expect the unexpected.
