Senior Reflections: Bacari Middleton

–30– has been traditionally used by journalists to indicate the end of a story. For seniors -30- will signify their last story on the Gopher Gazette staff.

My high school experience was extremely crazy. It’s nothing like the movies, it’s more stressful and has its ups and downs. Since I played on the football team, things were on the upside more than anything.

Freshman year was by far the best year. The 2015 class was the funniest class that was at Grand Prairie in a long time. We had a lot of goofballs and they were lit! We never had a dull moment, then I moved up to varsity for football and it got even better.

Sophomore and junior year I moved and went to Bowie so it was boring, but I came back junior year for football season. It was crazy because a lot went on. I also went to DAEP for some nonsense and it taught me to choose friend wisely and make good decisions.

Senior year has been interesting. I had a lot of ups and downs, but the ups were the most unforgettable. My team and I went to the playoffs and recreated history for Grand Prairie. I chose the college I’m going to attend for four years. I had the time of my life and most importantly, I’m graduating! High school is almost over, but I wouldn’t trade this experience.
