TAFE Serves Santa Helpers

The a Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) is collecting new and unwrapped toys for underserved kids in the community now through November 1.
“We are collecting toys as a service project,” TAFE President senior Fermina Navarrette said.
Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Of America Marine Corps Reserve. The primary goal for Toys For Tots is bringing joy to those on Christmas and spread messages of hope to America’s less fortunate children.
“At the TAFE Region X South Conference, the chapter with the most toys gets a surprise. We are hoping to win,” Navarrette said.
TAFE is a Texas Association of Future Educators. They recruit people to get ready for competitions and community service.
“We create teacher materials, bulletin board and things like that,” Navarrette said. “It really prepares us. ”
